Salvation or Kingdom Good News (Gospel)?
“For I am not ashamed of the Good News of the Messiah, for it is the power of Elohim for deliverance to everyone who believes — to the Y’hudi first and also to the Greek.”
— Romiyim (Romans) 1:16, TS2009
What Is Missing in the Modern Gospel?
In much of modern Christianity, especially in America, the message of the Kingdom of Y’hovah has been reduced to a gospel of personal salvation.
While salvation is a vital beginning, it is not the whole message Y’hoshua HaMashiach, Kefa, Sha’ul, and the early talmidim of the WAY proclaimed.
The true Good News (Besorah) is the announcement that Avinu Elohei’s reign is being established on earth through Y’hoshua HaMashiach — the King of Kings.
It is the message of the Renewed Covenant in His blood, bringing teshuvah (repentance), rebirth, healing, and transformation.
“Turn from your sins to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near!”
— Mattityahu (Matthew) 3:2, CJB
The Gospel of Salvation vs. the Gospel of the Kingdom
Over the last two centuries, preachers have emphasized “getting saved,” leading millions to recite a prayer for forgiveness.
This message has produced converts, but not always talmidim (disciples). The gospel of salvation centers on escaping judgment — but the gospel of the Kingdom focuses on living under the reign of Y’hovah now.
Evangelism is essential — but it must lead to discipleship and Kingdom living, not just decisions.
Comparison: Two Messages

The Good News of the Kingdom
The Good News of the Kingdom is not about religion but relationship — about Y’hovah reigning through His Mashiach and His people.
When Y’hoshua said, “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near,” He called people not only to believe, but to submit to His rule and walk in His Torah.
“Y’hoshua said to them, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make talmidim of all nations, immersing them… teaching them to guard all that I have commanded you.’”
— Mattityahu (Matthew) 28:18–20, TS2009
This is the mission of the Kingdom Gospel — not just to fill heaven, but to fill earth with His rule.
The salvation message gets us into the Kingdom; the Kingdom message gets the Kingdom into us.
A Call Back to the WAY
The early believers were called Netzarim — followers of “the WAY” (HaDerekh). They proclaimed the reign of Y’hovah through Y’hoshua, walking in obedience to Torah through the Ruach HaKodesh.
“But this I admit to you: I worship the God of our fathers in accordance with the WAY (which they call a sect). I continue to believe everything that accords with the Torah and everything written in the Prophets.”
— Ma’asei (Acts) 24:14, CJB
This is the original, apostolic message — the Kingdom Gospel. It calls every believer to live under the rulership of Y’hovah and walk as talmidim of Y’hoshua HaMashiach.
Living the Kingdom Today
The Kingdom Gospel is not about lip service but lifestyle. It’s not merely about “getting saved,” but about living saved — demonstrating the reign of Y’hovah in our lives through holiness, justice, mercy, and love.
When we teach and live this Good News, we participate in His redemptive plan: restoring His creation, reconciling Yisrael and the nations, and preparing for His Kingdom on earth.
“For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Messiah, for it is the power of Elohim for deliverance to everyone who believes — to the Y’hudi first and also to the Greek.”
— Romiyim (Romans) 1:16, TS2009
This is the Besorah of the Kingdom.
Not merely “Jesus saves,” but “Y’hoshua reigns.”
